Qualifications

• Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
• In Rhode Island, all Resident Care Associates must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• High School education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents' health-related activities and seek medical attention as needed.
• Recognize and report elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, dining).
• Document and report resident status and changes; maintain logs.
