Job summary

Galerie Management in Georgia is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide warm, engaging personal care and support to residents within our community. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor changes in residents’ status, and help maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment on site.

The role requires at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED; an active Certified Nursing Assistant license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• An active Certified Nursing Assistant license is preferred for this position but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend resident care plans.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to residents and associates.
• Uses good judgment in emergency situations and knows when to seek help.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility) as directed by service plans.
• Monitor changes in residents’ status and personal care needs; document observations and advise supervisors.
• Assist in the development and updating of Resident Care Plans.
• Encourage resident participation in scheduled life enrichment activities.
• Assist with laundry and light housekeeping tasks as directed.
• Monitor the community and ensure a safe, clean, and attractive environment.
• Participate in in-service training and education programs.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Galerie Management’s policies and procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (preferred)

Ability to read and follow care plans

Strong communication and teamwork

Ability to respond to emergencies
