Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant in Minnesota to provide hands-on support to residents and foster a caring community. The role includes helping with daily activities, meals, and wellness while maintaining safety and dignity for residents.

You will collaborate with nursing staff, participate in social activities, and contribute to a high standard of resident care. Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required, with CNA certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
• Commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean environment through housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks; promote a positive dining experience.
• Monitor health or emotional changes and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly.
• Perform other duties to support the team and care quality.
