Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living seeks a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide personal care and support to residents under an ISP. Certification as a Nurse’s Aide is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, assisting with bathing and mobility, following care plans, maintaining infection control, and promoting resident engagement. The role emphasizes teamwork and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• At least six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• Completed medication management course.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Professionalism and ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report deviations to the supervising nurse.
• Assist residents with personal care including bathing, grooming, and nutrition.
• Follow ISPs and daily task sheets and report status changes.
• Maintain infection control and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities.
• Attend biweekly in-service meetings and trainings.
