Job summary

Vista Mesa Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Assistant to provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living while ensuring comfort, dignity and respect.

The role involves helping with personal care, meals, mobility, companionship, and monitoring wellbeing. A patient, caring individual who values teamwork and safety will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Caregiving/healthcare/senior living experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable and service-oriented
• Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, mobility)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with meal service and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes to supervisors
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Support residents in activities and community events
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed
• Follow safety, infection control and resident care policies
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
• Promote a respectful, safe and positive living environment
