Job summary

Runk & Pratt Health Care Ent Inc in Hardy, VA is seeking an entry-level CNA to assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support care plans. You will work within a team to maintain a warm, homelike environment while upholding residents' rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Hold a current and valid CNA license from the Virginia Board of Nursing/Department of Health Professions, without restrictions, or a direct care aid certificate.
• State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses.
• A current Tuberculosis screening on or within 7 days prior to the first day of employment and free from Tuberculosis.
• The ability to obtain CPR/FA training within 60 days of hire and maintain a current certification.
• The ability to meet physical requirements for position.
• The ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily tasks, including checking vital signs and weighing residents, as set forth by the Lead RMA, Nursing Supervisor, DON, Unit Coordinator, Administrator or Designee.
• Provides care per individualized resident care plan and supports care planning with observations.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) and documents services provided.
• Maintains residents' rights and confidentiality; reports any abuse or rights violations.
• Ensures a safe, clean environment and participates in infection control.
• Responds to call bells promptly and assists with meals and nutrition documentation.

Education
