Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, VA, seeks a dedicated Resident Assistant/PCA to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities at our community. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, supporting ADLs, coordinating with nursing staff, assisting with meals and mobility, and promoting resident well-being.

A high school diploma and approved PCA program are required, plus CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Reports incidents and care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with ADLs and mobility as directed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
