Job summary

Markesan Resident Home is seeking a Resident Associate Assistant to provide care and support to residents under the Housing Manager, performing tasks outlined in each Resident Plan of Care. The role emphasizes safety, timely completion of assignments, and compassionate interaction with residents and families.

You will document incidents, assist with activities, support housekeeping and laundry, and help with medication distribution while adhering to policies and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English at a 10th grade level.
• Must maintain good physical and mental health.
• Able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as assigned, completing tasks accurately and timely.
• Documents incidents and unusual problems per policy.
• Greets residents by name and communicates with residents and families kindly.
• Assists new employees in following Policies & Procedures.
• Reports changes in resident condition to the Housing Manager or Nurse-on-call.
• Performs housekeeping tasks and assists with laundry as needed.
• Distributes medications in a timely, accurate manner.
• Participates in meetings and follows infection control practices.
