Job summary

Avera Oahe Manor in Gettysburg, SD is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living tasks and care plans. You will start in a Resident Assistant role and progress toward becoming a CNA after several months, working within a multidisciplinary team focused on moving health forward.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living, including meals, medications, housekeeping and laundry.
• Respect residents' personal property, including clothing, dentures, glasses, hearing aids and prosthetic devices.
• Report changes in residents’ condition or behavior.
• Answer call lights, anticipate needs, and perform frequent rounds; prepare rooms for admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Maintain clean, orderly environments; replenish supplies as needed and ensure equipment is reported for repair.
• Assist residents with activities and help organize or direct activities.
• Support meal preparation and service, following diet guidelines and sanitation standards.
