Job Summary

The Resident Assistant supports residents, including those with dementia, by aiding in daily tasks, following care plans, and communicating with families, to maintain independence and vitality.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist with move-ins, resident needs, hygiene, mobility, and participation in activities.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
  • Oversee physical care and participate in therapeutic activities.
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions and concerns.
  • Follow cleaning procedures and prepare materials for activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of Point Click Care or similar systems.
  • Compassionate, holistic care with dignity and respect.
  • Experience in residential care preferred.
  • Patience and calmness in difficult situations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking.
  • English proficiency for communication.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Two years of experience as a Resident Assistant preferred.
  • Minimum two years in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR).
