Job summary

Vivie is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents in our community. This role includes assisting with daily activities, meals, and wellness, while promoting dignity and companionship. You will help with mobility, hygiene, and social engagement, and report health changes to nursing staff.

A CNA certification in MN or WI is preferred and may be required for some levels. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification (MN or WI) preferred; may be required for some levels.
• State background check is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care and life skills, respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Job description

Schedule: On-Call | Pick up a minimum of 3 shifts per month
Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
