The University of West Georgia is seeking a Student Assistant - Resident Assistant for the Spring term. This live-in student leadership position serves on the Housing and Residence Life Staff, guiding a floor or area and promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging living environment on campus.

The RA collaborates with residents through daily interactions, plans learning-focused programs, participates in on-call duties, and represents UWG in various university activities, while adhering to policies

Qualifications

Be enrolled as UWG student with 12 credits (undergrad) or 9 credits (grad).
Have completed at least one semester by start date.
Maintain a 3.0 GPA to retain the position.
Complete housing contract and pay on-campus housing fees.
Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsabilités

Engage with residents regularly to build community and support transition to university life.
Facilitate community-building activities and events aligned with department goals.
Plan and execute social, educational, and cultural events for residents.
Educate residents on safety, inclusivity, and equity in the living environment.
Assist in conflict resolution and address community issues.
Maintain confidentiality of staff and students per FERPA and related policies.
