Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. is seeking a Resident Assistant in Minnetonka, MN to provide hands-on care and compassionate support in a long-term care setting. This role covers afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with a range of duties including ADL support, dining room assistance, and activity participation.

The position requires caring for residents, communicating with families and the case manager, and documenting daily progress. Benefits include shift differentials and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
