Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant for the Talamore Sun Prairie location to provide hands-on care and companionship to residents on the 2pm–10pm shift. The role emphasizes supporting daily living activities, safety, and dignity.

The ideal candidate has six months in long-term care or assisted living, and preferred nursing assistant certification. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, documenting care, and communicating changes to the case manager.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

• Hours - PM Shift (2pm - 10pm)
• Pay Range - $18 - $22 per hour.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.
