Job summary

Vivie in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with daily activities, meals, and wellbeing, while ensuring safety and dignity in a warm community setting.

You will collaborate with nursing staff, encourage social and wellness activities, and help residents transition into their new home. CNA preferred but not required; strong communication and teamwork are essential, with a state background check.

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.

• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and beverages, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or well-being to nursing staff.

Job description

Schedule: Full Time | 10:00 pm to 6:30 am | 64 hours per pay period | Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday requirement.

Schedule is Week 1 (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), Week 2 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday).

Pay Range: $19-$23.65 (non-exempt) based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Full time and part time Resident Assistants receive incentive pay of $5 per hour for shifts picked up outside their regular schedule block!!

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state‑required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
