Job summary

Carefree Living in Ely, MN is hiring Full-Time & Part-Time Overnight Resident Assistants/Caregivers to provide night-time care and comfort for residents. Overnight and PM shift differentials are offered, with paid training and a supportive team environment.

As a Resident Assistant/Caregiver, you’ll assist with daily living activities, monitor wellbeing, and document care while maintaining a safe night-time environment. Previous caregiver experience helps but is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be caring and dependable with a passion for helping others.
• CNA certification is NOT required.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Willingness to successfully complete a DHS background study.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Monitor resident well-being and respond promptly.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents.
• Maintain a safe, calm overnight environment.
• Communicate important observations with the care team.

What You'll Do

As a Resident Assistant/Caregiver, you'll help ensure our residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for during the overnight hours by:

• Assisting with activities of daily living, including toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Monitoring resident well-being and responding promptly to resident needs.
• Building meaningful relationships while providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
• Maintaining a safe, calm, and comfortable environment throughout the night.
• Communicating important observations with the care team.
• Documenting resident care accurately.
• Working as part of a supportive team committed to exceptional care.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• A caring, dependable individual with a passion for helping others.
• Previous caregiving, Resident Assistant, PCA, DSP, or CNA experience is a plus, but not required.
• CNA certification is NOT required.
• Strong communication, observation, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to successfully complete a DHS background study.
