Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and dignity, with training offered for enthusiastic candidates new to the field.

The position involves assisting with daily living activities, meal support, mobility, and meaningful engagement, in a supportive team environment with opportunities for advancement and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and ability to read/write notes in English.
• Ability to pass a background check and a drug test.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Prepare meals per dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Engage clients in activities for mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social events.
• Follow care plans and communicate with families and healthcare teams.
• Document daily activities and client needs with the office.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Shifts Available

Overnight shifts are available Monday through Sunday and are 12 hours long. Expected commitment is minimum 1 shift per week. Overtime is allowed.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team. This vital role involves delivering high-quality personal care and support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate nature combined with relevant experience in skilled nursing, home care, or assisted living environments. However, we will train enthusiastic people with compassionate hearts, so don't let a lack of experience keep you from applying!

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social gatherings.
• Follow established care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized care delivery.
• Document daily activities and completion of care plan. Communicate concerns and client needs with office.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures willingly and completely.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation. Must be fluent in spoken English and be able to read and write notes in English.
• Able to pass a background check and a drug test.
• Have a valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift a weight of 35 lbs and carry it 25 feet several times per day.
• Be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
