Job summary

Morning Pointe Senior Living is seeking a Resident Assistant/CNA to support Memory Care residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meals and mobility. You will work in a compassionate, secure environment that emphasizes independence and dignity, under the guidance of a care team.

The role requires ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and strong communication with residents and staff. A CNA certification and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification and be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform daily resident care tasks.
• At least 18 years of age and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living to meet physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Aid with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals and feeding when necessary.
• Help with setup and service of meals; assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Support residents in memory care with dignity and respect, following care plans.

Resident Assistants/CNAs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Resident Assistants participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Resident Assistant can include:

1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity
2. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care
3. Assist residents with meals and snacks
4. Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
5. Housekeeping duties as necessary
