GENERAL SUMMARY: Administratively responsible to the Supervisor and/or the Assistant Supervisor on duty, the Resident Assistant is responsible for carrying out assigned programs to individuals of the Intermediate Care Facility Program (ICF/ID). A minimum of 85% of work-time is spent in direct individual contact.

Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience working with intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals preferred.

SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check. Must pass post-job offer pre-placement physical exam; and initial and subsequent annual TB screenings. CPR certification must be obtained and maintained. Must adhere to established company/program policies and procedures and regulations relating to safety and infection control. Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required. A valid USA driver's license may be required for travel, and successful completion of Allied’s Driver Training Program is necessary.
