Job summary

Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV seeks a current Potomac Place Resident Assistant for Residence Life. The RA will work assigned duty shifts, including some weekends and holidays, and provide quality customer service to residents.

You will attend training sessions before semesters and participate in in-service trainings, meetings with supervisors, and enforce university policies. You may assist with door access for emergencies and act as RA over break periods as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Resident Assistant assigned to Potomac Place through the Residence Life Office.
• Enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at Shepherd University.
• Candidate must have exemplary disciplinary record and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as a member of the Residence Life staff.
• Work assigned duty shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
• Attend training sessions before each semester or break, and in-service trainings as needed.
• Attend all scheduled meetings with supervisors.
• Implement and enforce Shepherd University policies and notify staff if not followed.
• Report policy violations via the conduct system Guardian promptly.
• Assist with door access for emergency personnel to gain entry.
• Perform administrative duties and meet deadlines.
• May act as RA over break periods as required.
