Job summary

Hendricks Community Hospital Association in Hendricks, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to support assisted living residents. Weekend rotations and a 9am to 2pm shift are required, with starting pay of $19 per hour based on experience.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, cleanliness, safety, and teamwork to enhance resident well-being. The position involves assisting with meals, safety checks, and activities coordination in collaboration with the dietary and wellness teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in geriatric resident care preferred.
• Experience with housekeeping and laundry tasks preferred.
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures per department standards.
• Ability to plan and prioritize resident needs.
• Ability to work with geriatric tenants and understand their needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Analytical skills to evaluate and solve problems.
• Spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
• Leadership, initiative, and judgment skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support high level of customer service to assisted living tenants through communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with Lifestyle and Wellness Coordinator on enrichment opportunities for residents.
• Assist tenants with services described in facility UDALSA.
• Provide resident safety checks according to policy.
• Pickup breakfast trays and assist with meal serving and tray deliveries.
• Keep dining room clean and process dishes after meals.
• Maintain a clean and tidy facility; follow infection control procedures.
• Know safety and emergency procedures and protect resident confidentiality.
• Report observations to Clinical Nurse Supervisor; attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain CPR certification and complete required education on hire and annually.
