Job summary

Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a Resident Assistant to work with our assisted living residents at Hendricks, MN. The role requires providing resident support, assisting with meals, safety checks, and daily living activities, while maintaining sanitation and infection control standards.

Weekend and holiday rotations are required with every third weekend and holiday schedule; starting wage is $19 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with geriatric resident care preferred.
• Previous experience with housekeeping and laundry tasks preferred.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures per food service standards and HCHA dietary department.
• Plan and prioritize resident needs.
• Work with geriatric tenants and understand their needs.

Responsibilities

• Supports high level of customer service to assisted living tenants through communication, attitude, responsiveness and engagement.
• Work closely with Lifestyle and Wellness Coordinator on enrichment opportunities for residents.
• Assist with needs-based services per UDALSA.
• Provide resident safety checks per facility policy.
• Pickup breakfast trays from resident rooms.
• Assist with meal serving and room tray deliveries with dietary collaboration.
• Clean dining room and process dishes after noon meal.
• Maintain infection control practices and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Report observations and changes to Clinical Nurse Supervisor.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain CPR certification and complete required education on hire and annually thereafter.
