Fairview Health Services in Wyoming, MN seeks a Resident Assistant to deliver personal care and health-related services to residents in Meadows on Fairview Assisted Living. The role includes evening/night shifts, 12-hour schedules, and every-third-weekend rotations, with a two-week block schedule and 55 hours biweekly.

The position requires basic tech aptitude for devices and communications. Prior experience is not required, but being on MN NAR registry if under 18 is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines.
• If under 18 must be on MN NAR registry.
• Less than 1 year of previous experience is acceptable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares including bathing, nails, and grooming.
• Assist with meal service in the dining room.
• Support resident social and recreational activities as requested.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional status to the appropriate staff.
• Notify staff of changes in appetite, mood or weight.
• Serve as a mandated reporter and report concerns of potential mistreatment.
• Provide observations and input as needed.
• Respond to resident and building emergencies appropriately.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Resident Assistant to join our team at Meadows on Fairview Assisted Living in Wyoming, MN! This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

Meadows on Fairview Senior Living, is Ebenezer’s 51 Unit Assisted Living and Transitional Care Community located in Wyoming, MN near Highway 35, County Roads 8, and 61. Conveniently across the street from Fairview Lakes Hospital and Dialysis center offering a full continuum of care for our residents. Our community is small enough to get to know your residents and co-workers yet large enough to provide you with opportunities and room to grow. Our tenured staff is dedicated to healing, discovering and educating for longer, healthier and substantial lives.

This schedule includes;

• 55 hours every two weeks
• Evening/overnight shift
• 12 hour shift
• Every third weekend rotation

Block Schedule:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Week 2: Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 3: Thursday

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.
