Job summary

Gemstone Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant/Med Tech to support residents daily, assist with ADLs, dining, and medication reminders, and maintain a safe, respectful environment.

You will work within the Resident Services Department under the Wellness Director, complete required documentation, observe changes, and communicate clearly with families and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including hygiene, wardrobe, ambulation, and transfers with standby assist.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, dining setup, serving, and cleanup.
• Observe changes in Resident condition and report to Wellness Director; conduct rounds for hazards.
• Assist with medication reminders or cueing and maintain MARs; document accurately.
• Complete required documentation before end of shift and ensure reception areas are orderly.

Job Title: Resident Assistant/ Med TechLocation: Gemstone Senior LivingReports To: Staffing Coordinator/HWC/RCCOur Resident Assistants are caring and compassionate individuals that provide personal care and assist each Resident while maintaining their independence. This position works within the Resident Services Department, reporting to the Wellness Director. We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team to uphold our "Residents First" philosophy. Our Resident Assistants provide all care in a positive manner to enhance the Residents life at our Gemstone Senior Living Communities.The Med Aide / MedTech exists to ensure that medications are administered safely, accurately, and on time, and that daily resident care is coordinated, observed, and escalated appropriately. This role serves as the critical link between frontline caregiving and licensed clinical leadership, protecting residents through disciplined execution and clear communication.Key Responsibilities:Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) this includes: wardrobe, personal hygiene, ambulation, and stand by assist transferringAssist in daily task such as Housekeeping, Laundry, Use of telephone, and Mail delivery Observe and Report changes in Resident's condition and status to Wellness DirectorConduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidentsAssist with medication, medication reminders or cueingAssist in dining including setting up tables for all meals, escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean upResident Assistant is responsible for shift to shift report, checking the Service Plan Book for changes and assignments and the Communication Book for memos and in-services due.Complete required documentation (i.e.: incident reports, charting, rounding sheet) prior to end of shift. No exceptions.Maintain Wellness Center and Breakroom in a neat and orderly fashion.Reports emergency maintenance issues by phone to the Executive Director or Wellness Director.
