Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support in our care community. You will assist residents with daily living, communicate with families, and notify the case manager of any changes in condition.

Morning 6am-2pm, Evening 2pm-10pm, and Overnight 10pm-6am shifts are available. Six months of long-term care or assisted living experience is preferred, as is CNA/HHA certification.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Ability to document care and changes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in service plans.
• Support residents physically and emotionally.
• Communicate changes in condition to the case manager.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s:

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Morning Shift 6am-2pm

Evening Shift 2pm-10pm

Overnight Shift 10pm-6am
