Job summary

Royale Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, OR, part of Volare Health, LLC, is seeking a Resident Assistant (RA) on a PRN basis with a flexible schedule. The role offers $18.00 per hour and opportunities to grow within a compassionate long-term care setting.

As an RA, you will assist residents with daily routines, provide companionship, escort to activities, and support meals and housekeeping while upholding infection control and resident rights policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with seniors or in long-term care preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care setup, grooming, and daily routines.
• Escort residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the facility.
• Provide companionship through conversation, reading, games, and social engagement.
• Support activity participation and encourage resident independence.
• Respond to call lights by notifying nursing staff when clinical help is needed.
• Help maintain clean, organized resident rooms and common areas.
• Assist with meal service, snack delivery, dining setup, and cleanup.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
• Monitor residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Follow infection control, safety, HIPAA, and resident rights policies at all times.

What You’ll Do

• Assisting residents with personal care setup, grooming, and daily routines

Please note: This position does not provide hands-on clinical care or resident transfers. Clinical needs are referred to licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Enjoys working with seniors and long-term care residents
• Can work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed
• Can perform the physical requirements of the position
• Maintains a positive attitude and works well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare
• Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe Certification
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
