Job summary

Avina on Division is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents requiring 24-hour supervision. You will assist residents with activities of daily living and prompt task completion while promoting independence and choice.

Under supervision of a Team Leader, you will help deliver quality service, maintain good public relations, and uphold the facility's mission and standards. This role emphasizes teamwork and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Hold all 4 Wisconsin CBRF certificates: First Aid & Choking, Fire Safety, Medication Administration, and Standard Precautions.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications correctly according to the DON staying within scope of practice.
• Assist/Prompt residents with laundry as assigned with help/supervision as needed to complete the task.
• Assist/Prompt residents with cooking as assigned ensuring safety and teaching skills.
• Assist/Prompt residents to complete cleaning tasks as assigned with help/supervision as needed.
• Engage residents in facility activities as scheduled, respecting their wants, desires, and rights.
• Ensure safety/security of all residents at all times.
• Assist residents in getting to appointments with support and supervision.
• Work with staff as a positive team to ensure resident happiness.
• Encourage residents to speak their concerns and refer to therapist if needed.

Resident Assistant Job Overview:

Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Resident Assistant assists residents that need 24- hour supervision. The Resident Assistant’s role is to assist/prompt residents to complete tasks such as activities of daily living and ensuring the residents independence and freedom of choice. This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and for upholding the mission and standards of the facility.
