Job summary

Galerie Management is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide warm, person-centered care to residents in our Douglasville community. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health status, and support care planning under the supervision of the Wellness Director.

Responsibilities

• Assists with laundry and light housekeeping as directed.
• Ensures a safe, clean, and attractive environment; follows policies.

Job Title:Resident Assistant

Reports to: Wellness Director

Summary:The Resident Assistant will provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, and support to all residents within the Galerie Management community.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assists residents with all activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility- as directed by their individual service plans
• Monitors changes in residents’ status and personal care needs; documents observations and advises supervisors and/or clinical associates as appropriate
• Assists in the development and updating of Resident Care Plans
• Encourages resident participation in scheduled life enrichment activities
• Assists with laundry and light housekeeping tasks as directed
• Monitors the community and takes appropriate action to keep the environment safe, clean, and attractive for residents, guests, and co-workers
• Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and GalerieManagement’s policies and procedures.

QualificationsEducation and Duties:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have either a High School Diploma or GED
• An active Certified Nursing Assistant license is preferred for this position but not required

Knowledge and Skills:

• Can follow written or verbal instructions
• Ability to read and comprehend resident care plans
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, residents' families, and other associates of the company
• Uses good judgment in emergency situations and gets help when needed

Working Conditions:
