Job summary

Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist elderly residents in a community setting in Belden, MS. Shifts run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with an hourly pay range of $10 to $12, and immediate access to DailyPay.

You will provide personal care, respond to calls, and support daily living activities. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, medications, dining, and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• Provide personal care and services for residents including responding to pull cords.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as ambulating, transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist residents with medications.
• Must read, write, and perform simple calculations and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 125 pounds with assistance using proper body mechanics.
• We are a drug-free workplace and conduct criminal background checks and substance abuse testing.

Responsibilities

• Respond to the pull cord system and calls for assistance.
• Provide personal care and services for all residents.
• Assist in emergencies.
• Assist with ADLs and meals.
• Serve residents in the dining room in a professional, friendly manner.
• Clean residents' apartments and common areas.
• Accompany residents to scheduled appointments.

• Shift Hours: 7a-7p
  

Pay Range: $10-12/Hour | Immediate Access to DailyPay

• Rate of pay is based on experience
• Provide exceptional customer service to all residents, families, and guests
• Provide personal care and services for all residents including:
• Respond to the pull cord system and calls for assistance
• Assist all residents in the event of an emergency
• Assist with ADL's including ambulating, transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, meals, etc.
• Assist in performing, monitoring and supervision of daily personal hygiene of residents
• Assist residents with medications
• Serve residents in the dining room in a professional, friendly manner
• Clean resident's apartments, launder their clothing and linens, clean common areas of community
• Accompany residents to scheduled appointments
• Must be able to read, write, and make simple calculations and follow both oral and written instructions
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 125 pounds per person in a two-person lift, using proper body mechanics
• Overall good physical and mental health
• Overall patient and compassionate
• Will be regular in attendance, with the right attitude and attire
• Must work well with others and independently
• Sincere desire to work with the elderly and the infirmed
