Job summary

Smith Farms Senior Living Facility in Auburn, IN is seeking friendly, caring part-time Care Staff to assist residents with daily living activities and medication administration. You will help promote independence and safety, while delivering respectful, compassionate care and working closely with the team.

Responsibilities include transferring, bathing, assisting with meals, administering medications and injections, documenting care and medications, and reporting changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
• Reliable transportation required.

As a care staff and med tech, you will be helping our residents with their daily care as well as assisting with their medication administration. Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
