The ideal candidate has experience with the elderly, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible weekends are required, with comprehensive training provided and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care).
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintaining a clean environment (light housekeeping).
• Reporting changes in residents’ condition to the supervisor.
• Communicating professionally with families and co-workers.
• Complying with safety and infection control procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide care to our residents in Sterling Heights, MI.

The Resident Aide will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

No Licenses or Certifications required.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
