Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Michigan is seeking dedicated Caregivers to join our senior living community. You will assist residents with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support emotional well-being.

Responsibilities include medication administration, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to the supervisor. Must ensure safety and infection control while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor and document residents' medication intake accurately.
• Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide regular updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
