Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Clinton Township, MI is seeking compassionate Resident Aides to provide care to residents. The role includes assisting with daily living activities and offering companionship to seniors.

The ideal candidate will be patient, have strong communication skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team, including every other weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Every other weekend is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care).
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment including light housekeeping.
• Report changes in resident's condition to supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
• Comply with safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI.

The Resident Aide will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

No Licenses or Certifications required.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
