Job summary

MediLodge of Okemos is seeking a Resident Aide to support the Nursing Department in providing compassionate care to residents. This role involves basic caregiving tasks, assisting with meals, mobility, and daily activities in a warm, team-focused facility.

Responsibilities

  • Makes residents’ beds.
  • Labels resident clothing and belongings.
  • Passes meal trays and offers basic tray setup; may assist with feeding if competency demonstrated.
  • Serves food and buses dishes in the dining room.
  • Transports/escorts residents to areas within the facility, e.g. dining areas, activities, resident care conferences.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Education
