Job summary

Interim HealthCare Staffing seeks a Resident Aide to provide personal care in facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals. You will work with a team including physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs and aides to maintain high-quality patient care and daily living assistance.

The role includes helping with bathing, toileting, grooming, eating, mobility and monitoring vitals. A high school diploma or CNA training is required, with opportunities for growth and daily/next-day pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• 6 months of caregiving experience or completion of a CNA course with references.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospitals.
• Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs and aides to deliver excellent patient care.
• Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, and document any changes.
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment.

As a Resident Aide here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

A few must-haves for Resident Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• 6 Months of previous adult caregiving OR completion of a CNA course (must provide professional references to verify experience OR certificate of completion of CNA class).
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
