Interim HealthCare Staffing in West Michigan is seeking a Resident Aide to support patients across multiple care settings, including nursing homes and hospitals. You will work with a team of physicians, RNs, CNAs and other aides to provide high-quality care and daily living assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of caregiving experience or CNA training with references or CNA completion certificate.
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
• Compassionate nature and good communication skills; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for personal care and hygiene needs in facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and aides to deliver patient care.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and ROM exercises.
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, and document changes.
• Observe patients and report changes requiring care adjustments.

As a Resident Aide here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospitals
• Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs and aides to deliver excellent patient care
• Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, and document any changes
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment

A few must-haves for Resident Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• 6 Months of previous adult caregiving OR completion of a CNA course (must provide professional references to verify experience OR certificate of completion of CNA class).
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
