Job summary

MediLodge of Grand Rapids is seeking a Resident Aide to provide compassionate care to our elderly residents. You will help with meals, mobility, personal needs, and basic activities while building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

The role supports nursing staff and contributes to a caring, safe living environment. Prior experience isn’t required; we value a big heart and willingness to learn, with opportunities for career advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.
• Ability to learn infection control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Makes residents' beds.
• Labels resident clothing and belongings.
• Distributes personal and facility laundry.
• Passes meal trays and offers basic tray setup; may assist with feeding if competency demonstrated.
• Serves food and buses dishes in the dining room.
• Transports/escorts residents to areas within the facility.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Resident Aides serve resident meals and snacks, bus(es) dishes, makes beds, labels resident clothing and belongings, escorts residents to areas within the facility, and performs other tasks as assigned.
