Job summary

The DOVE Center in St. George is seeking a Resident Advocate to support clients in the in-shelter program. You will help manage overnight shifts, respond to helpline calls, assist intake and exit of clients, and maintain a safe, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, a clean background, a high school diploma, and at least two years of public-facing experience. Training in victim advocacy is provided, and benefits include 401(k) and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality, security, safety, and general upkeep of the DOVE House.

• Provide victim advocacy as needed.
• Operate the 24hr hotline and provide crisis advocacy.
• Support client action plan goals.
• Document activities and notes in database and advocate logs.

JOB TITLE: Resident Advocate

REPORTS TO: Shelter Manager

LOCATION: St. George, UT

HOURS: Full-time 40 hours weekly

PAY: $18.00 hourly

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Resident Advocate is responsible to maintain confidentiality, security, safety, and general upkeep of the DOVE House. Attend to the overall needs of the in-shelter clients and answer all helpline and dispatch phone calls; along with assisting intake and exit of clients; and maintain a professional and considerate manner while acting as a Resident Advocate at the DOVE House.

JOB DUTIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
