Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of patients in a long-term care setting. You will plan, organize and implement engagement activities that address physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs, while ensuring safety and wellbeing.

You will document attendance, participate in care plan meetings, and collaborate with the care team to tailor activities to individual resident goals and family input.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read/write/speak English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients/residents.
• Document attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
