Genesiscareers is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of residents in a long‑term care setting. You will plan, organize, and implement activities that meet physical, creative, cognitive, social and spiritual needs of patients and residents.

The role requires effective communication and strong organizational abilities, with duties including documenting attendance, contributing to recreation therapy design, and participating in care plan meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to positively engage with patients, families, staff and community partners.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize and implement activities to meet residents' physical, creative, cognitive, social and spiritual needs.
• Provide input into the monthly recreation therapy service design.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
