Cadia Healthcare in Wilmington, DE is seeking an Activity Aide to plan, organize, and provide engaging activities for residents, aligned with each person’s needs and progress.

The role emphasizes social engagement, religious and leisure activities, and accurate attendance documentation, while supporting transport to events and encouraging team participation. Must have a high school diploma and experience with geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience and/or training with the geriatric population required.
• Long term care industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and promoting activities based on the needs/interests of the residents. Encourages social communication through group activities.
• Assist residents with participation in religious programs and leisure recreation.
• Visits bed-ridden residents and non-participants and provides appropriate activities.
• Documents resident attendance and participation; may assist with maintaining pertinent files and writing progress notes, if applicable.
