Job summary

Green Palms Health & Rehab of St. Marys is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activity Department with resident-centered programs.

This part-time role offers 20-25 hours per week with schedules including every other weekend and every other holiday.

Responsibilities include leading group and one-on-one activities, documenting services, and assisting with event planning and in-service trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up to date knowledge of activities and provides accurate documentation of all services in order to assure the highest degree of Activity Department functions.
• Assists with a variety of activities, one-on-one and group activities, outside and/or inside the facility and promote positive relationships with residents and community members outside the facility.
• Provides supplies and equipment for residents to participate in individual activities as assigned by the Activity Director.
• Assists with the planning, developing and coordinating of resident centered activities as requested including Holidays and special events as assigned by the Activity Director.
• Attend any scheduled in-services and complete monthly trainings.
• Perform any other Activites related or assigned as requested.
