Job summary

Harlingen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harlingen, TX is seeking an dedicated Activity Aide to assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing residents’ activity program.

You will collaborate to organize events, facilitate individual and group activities, help with calendars and newsletters, and support residents to participate in daily life while documenting activities.

Qualifications

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is preferred.
• Previous experience in activity/recreational department in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing the residents’ activity program.
• Collaborate with the Activity Director to organize events for staff and residents.
• Facilitate individual and group activities for residents with varying levels of functioning.
• Assist with monthly calendars, posting, and facility newsletters.
• Help residents to and from activities and participate in community events related to the facility.
