Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services seeks an Activity Aide for Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont, TX. This part-time role supports the Activity Director in planning and directing residents' activity programs to enhance engagement and well-being.

You will collaborate with staff to organize events, prepare calendars, and assist with newsletters while ensuring activities accommodate all residents, including those who are bedfast or require one-to-one attention.

Qualifications

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• A Certified Nurse Aide is preferred.
• Previous experience working in activity or recreational department in the long-term care industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate both individual and group activities based on the individual needs of the residents.
• Coordinate events with the Activity Director and staff to support resident engagement.
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Provide one-to-one activities for bedfast residents and document in the appropriate record.
• Prepare monthly calendar and post in highly visible areas and distribute to residents.
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter.
• Participate in community events related to the facility’s interests.
• Attend in-services as necessary.
• Assist residents to and from activities.
• Support Residents’ Council and night/weekend activities as needed.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director and/or Administrator.

Education

School diploma or equivalent

Certified Nurse Aide preferred
