Job summary

Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Part-Time Activity Aide to assist the Activity Director in planning and directing residents’ activity programs. You will help organize events for both staff and residents, and facilitate individual and group activities for residents with various needs.

The role requires assisting with calendars, newsletters, and community events, along with supporting Residents’ Council and weekend activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in activity or recreational department in long-term care or related industry is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct residents’ activity programs.
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on events for residents and staff.
• Facilitate individual and group activities for residents with varying functioning levels.
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Prepare calendars and newsletters for residents and posting areas.
• Support Residents’ Council and weekend activities as needed.
• Assist residents to activities and deliver mail daily.
