Job summary

Westbrooke Manor is seeking an Activity Assistant to help plan, organize and implement activity programs that meet residents’ physical, mental and psychosocial well being. You will coordinate with Nursing, Dietary, Housekeeping and other departments to ensure space and supplies for activities.

The role includes transporting residents, documenting responses, and assisting with calendars and plans of care under the Activity Director.

Qualifications

• Must have completed high school.
• Associates or Bachelor Degree in an activity or social work related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, organization and implementation of activity programs.
• Coordinate activities with Nursing, Dietary, Housekeeping to ensure space for planned activities.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from the activity area.
• Document activity provided and resident response; notify Director of changes in status.
• Assist in developing the Activity Calendar and monthly calendars.
