Elderwood of Lakeside at Brockport is seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual for a Full-Time Activity Leader position. The role focuses on conducting enjoyable recreation programs to keep residents energized, engaged, and mentally stimulated.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 yrs age or older.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York Driver’s License required.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to inspire and motivate, create a warm, inclusive place for residents.
• Must read/write/speak English at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Activities in planning and carrying out the activity program.
• Approach residents on assigned unit to plan individual recreational and social activities; report outcomes.
• Prepare resident information for care planning and documentation; write progress notes.
• Help develop and maintain contact with community resources for activities program.
• Maintain departmental equipment/supplies inventory.
• Keep attendance records and prepare required reports.
