Job summary

Magnolia Bridge at Murrells Inlet is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and deliver engaging programs for residents, promoting health, social interaction, and companionship.

You will help create monthly calendars, supervise outings, coordinate events with families and staff, and mentor volunteers, all while maintaining a supportive, respectful environment and adhering to safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Strong empathy, kindness, and respectful interaction.
• Experience in elder care or activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and adhere to a monthly activity calendar.
• Interact with residents at all levels of care with empathy and respect.
• Coordinate special events for residents, families, staff, and the community relations dept.
• Transport and supervise residents on outings and appointments.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all residents.
• Provide training and support to staff to meet standards.
• Take minutes at resident council meetings and follow up on concerns.
