Job summary

Moorings Park is seeking an on-call Activities Assistant to join our Naples team. You will help plan, organize, and implement a wide range of resident activities designed to enrich daily life and promote independence.

Develop awareness of residents’ interests, lead group and individual activities, coordinate with volunteers and departments, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a comprehensive activities program to enrich residents' lives.
• Develops monthly activity schedules and weekly announcements with resident input.
• Organizes daily group and individual programs, including lectures, movies, games, and outings.
• Welcomes new residents and assesses interests to tailor activities.
• Coordinates with volunteers, vendors, and other departments to ensure successful events.
• Maintains attendance records and tracks participation.
• Supports emergencies and safety instructions during activities, such as fire drills.
• Works flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Position Summary

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Activities Assistant to join our team. The Activities Assistant assists in planning, organizing & implementing a comprehensive activities program enriching the lives of residents. Develops awareness of residents’ interests and needs and assists residents to maximize their independence & participation.

Key Contributions

• Works collaboratively to develop the monthly activity schedule. Seeks input from residents and prepare & distributes the weekly announcements.
• Organizes, sets up & attends daily group & individual activity programs according to the activity schedule & residents’ needs, including but not limited to lectures, presentations, meetings, movies, cocktail parties, card games, off campus trips, etc.
• Visits & meets new residents within two days following move in to determine his/her interests & to introduce the activity program to them.
• Assists in organizing & chaperoning resident outings including but not limited to theaters, museums, restaurants, sporting events, movies, etc.
• Sets up appropriate rooms for activities & special events including decorations, tables & chairs.
• Actively promotes & engages residents in participation in daily activities.
• Works with volunteers, vendors, & other departments to facilitate successful programs for residents.
• Tracks daily activity attendance.
• Assists with emergencies & safety instructions for residents, such as fire drills, etc.
• Submits work orders & event request forms to appropriate departments.
• Works in compliance with all HIPPA regulations & standards.
• Adheres to a flexible work schedule, which involves working evenings, weekends, or holidays
