Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. is seeking an activities/program coordinator to plan and oversee resident activities and events. You will organize schedules, conduct engaging programs, and support residents with necessary assistance while maintaining safety and dignity.

You will coordinate with management to create monthly calendars, transport clients when needed, and document activities and outcomes. CPR preferred; driver’s license required; weekend work once a month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate required or preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work one weekend per month.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect.
• Organize, plan, provide, and oversee program activities for client-based events and services.
• Use judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Be familiar with standard concepts and procedures in healthcare/substance abuse treatment.
• Multitask, be creative, and stay dedicated to Gaudenzia's population.
• Transport and escort clients to medical appointments or outside activities as needed.
• Create a monthly activity calendar and plan resident activities and events.
• Conduct activities to engage residents physically and mentally.
• Post activities calendars and assist in communications with residents and families.
• Encourage participation and provide necessary personal assistance.
• Maintain supplies per department budget and report incidents.
• Complete orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings.
• Follow reporting protocol for unauthorized absences.
• Prepare written reports and electronic incident reports as needed.
• Work under supervision and report to Program Director.
